Youth Delphic Games Russia are held by the National Delphic Council of Russia, starting from the IV games also under the patronage of International Delphic Committee. The Youth Delphic Games of Russia appeared in 1999 and were held every 2 years, and since 2005 - annually. They are held every time in different cities of the country. The name "Youth Delphic Games of Russia" was established only from the III games, the I games were called "Russian Youth Delphic Games", II  - "All-Russian Youth Delphic Games".

Format

Delphic Games  are complex competitions among artists of a high level of skill.

The Games are a large event (more than 2000 participants), taking place over 6-7 days. The Games consist of: official opening ceremony, competition and festival programs, international conference, delegation day, official closing ceremony and gala concert of the winners.

Both collectives and solo performers who have passed the selection at the regional level and formed into national teams participate in the Games subjects of the federation.

Age of participants at the time of the event:

• Delphic games  - any;

• Youth Delphic Games  - from 10 years to 25 years (within the nominations, division into age groups may be provided).

 

Games are held in different cities. For competitions in various nominations, the best cultural objects are provided (conservatories, concert halls, theaters, etc.)  - all nominations are held at separate venues, sometimes simultaneously.

As part of the Delphic Games, competitions were worked out in 48 nominations:  alto, piano, violin, accordion/accordion, balalaika, cello, horn, trumpet, clarinet, domra, saxophone, percussion instruments, academic singing, solo folk singing, ensemble folk singing, pop singing, art song, folklore ensembles, classical dance, modern dance, folk dance, theater, jazz, artistic reading, pantomime, circus art, DJ, photography, visual arts, graffiti, web design, television journalism, parenting art, television, animation, short feature film, sculpture, architecture, landscape design, culinary arts, fashion design, hairdressing, floristry, social advertising, preservation of folk arts and crafts, folk instruments, electronic keyboard instrument.

The jury, formed in each discipline, includes prominent figures of culture and art, about 100-150 people.

The jury determines the winners and prize-winners in the nominations of the competitive and festival programs of the Games, which are awarded at official ceremonies with medals and diplomas with the symbols of the Games.

The organization and holding of the Games is carried out jointly by the Delphic organization of the host, state and municipal authorities with the support of interested organizations. The games are held under the patronage of the International Delphic Committee. The management of the preparation and holding of the Games is carried out by the Organizing Committee and the Directorate.

I (1999, Saratov)

From 17 to 21 November 1999 in  Saratov the I Russian Youth Delphic Games were held, in which more than 2400 Delphians from 77 regions of the Russian Federation took part. The competitive and festival program of the Games included 24 nominations. Nominations such as literary translation and web design were introduced.

National Delphic Council of Russia[2] together with the Ministries of Culture and Education of the Russian Federation, the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, State Youth Committee and the State Russian House of Folk Art carried out work on organizing an art forum. The Games were noted by the President of the Russian Federation, as well as by a number of prominent political figures of Russia, and were included in the Plan of the main events of the Russian Organizing Committee for the preparation for the meeting of the third millennium as an integral part of the Program “Youth of Russia — a step into the XXI century ".

Welcome message to the government Saratov region of Berlin sent Christian Kirsch, Secretary General International Delphic Council (IDC)since registered March 19, 1999 at Ministry of Justice NDS of Russia was officially part of the IBC with headquarters in Berlin when it held the first and second youth Delphic Games of Russia (1999-2001).

The competitive and festival program of the Games was attended by solo performers and creative teams, the age of which varied from 10 to 21 years.

II (2001, Smolensk)

From September 21 to September 26, 2001 in the hero city Smolensk the II All-Russian Youth Delphic Games “We Remember…” took place. The preparation and holding of the event was carried out jointly by the National Delphic Council of Russia (VAT of Russia), the administrations of the Smolensk region and the city of Smolensk with the support of the Russian organizing committee "Victory". As international observers, the games were attended by a delegation headed by Yoko Ikeno, a member of the board of the Japanese VAT.

The program of the Second All-Russian Youth Delphic Games “We Remember…” consisted of an official opening ceremony, a competitive program, a round table and a closing ceremony. The competitive program of the Games included 14 nominations: piano; violin; accordion; pop singing; folk singing; pop dance; theatre; artistic reading; a photo; journalism; DJ; wind instruments; poster; graffiti. 1,007 young artists from 53 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, aged 10 to 21, took part in the Games.

The Games received greetings from the President of the Russian Federation V. V. Putin, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Е. С. Stroeva, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation G. N. Selezneva, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation V. I. Matvienko, and others.

III (2003, Volgograd)

From May 16 to May 22, 2003 in the hero city Volgograd 3rd Youth Delphic Games of Russia were held. The preparation and holding of the event was carried out jointly by the National Delphic Council of Russia (NDS of Russia), the Administration of the Volgograd Region with the support of the Russian Organizing Committee "Victory", the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Russian Olympic Committee. As guests of honor at the Third Youth Delphic Games of Russia were present: Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation S. M. Mironov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation S. N. Samoilov.

1,692 Delphians aged 10 to 21 from 69 regions of Russia[ten] competed in such categories as: piano, violin, button accordion, wind instruments, singing, pop dance, folk dance, theater, DJ, photography, graffiti, web design, journalism, and others[9]. The jury formed for each nomination included prominent figures of Russian culture, including the People's Artist of Russia, Associate Professor of the Academic Singing Department of the Moscow State Institute of Music. The competitive program of the Games, in which young Delphians aged 10 to 21 took part (in a number of nominations, division into two age groups was provided) consisted of 21 nominations: piano, violin, button accordion, flute, pop singing, folk singing, academic singing, pop dance, folk dance, theater, reading, circus, DJ, photography, poster, graffiti, web design, journalism, television, culinary arts, hairdressing (the last three were held at the Delphic Games for the first time).

Solemn part of the Delphic Games 2006

Anniversary V Youth Delphic Games of Russia “Together is better!” took place from 19 to 24 May 2006 at Krasnoyarsk. The games were dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the formation of the Commonwealth of Independent States and were held in connection with the announcement of the 2006 year by the Council of the Heads of State of the CIS as the Year of the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the creation of UNESCO. The competition was attended by 1882 Delphians aged 10 to 25 years (average age 18), formed into teams from 59 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Fifth Youth Delphic Games of Russia "Together is better!" were held under the patronage of the International Delphic Committee. The competitive and festival programs of the Games consisted of 24 nominations, among them three that had not been held before: author's song, social advertising, preservation of folk art crafts.

The Games received greetings from the President of the Russian Federation V. V. Putin, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation S. M. Mironova, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation B. B. Gryzlova, the crew of the International Space Station consisting of P. Traditional teleconference with the ISS during the Sixth Delphic Games

From May 18 to May 23, 2007 at Yaroslavl region the VI Youth Delphic Games of Russia “Great Dates. Great people". The games were timed to coincide with the start of the celebration 1000th anniversary of Yaroslavl and are dedicated to significant events in the era of human space exploration, such as 50 years since  launch of the first artificial earth satellite, 100 years since the birth of the chief designer of the first rocket and space systems Sergei Pavlovich Korolev, 150 years of the founder of theoretical astronautics Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky.

The games were held under the patronage of the International Delphic Committee and under the auspices of Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO. During the opening, closing and gala concert ceremonies, with full stands (9 thousand people), the audience saw a parade of nominations and constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the ceremony of raising the State flag of the Russian Federation and the Delphic flag, lighting the Delphic fire, a theatrical performance of the best solo and collective performers Yaroslavl region, the performance of champions of different years and gold medalists of the Sixth Youth Delphic Games of Russia.

Nomination "Piano", Seventh Delphic Games

May 16-21, 2008 in Novosibirsk the VII Youth Delphic Games of Russia "In the family is our future!"Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated June 14, 2007 # 761. The competition was attended by 2237 Delphians aged 10 to 25 years (about 70 % of participants  - over 17 years old), formed into teams from 74 subjects of the Russian Federation. Qualifying rounds in the form of small Delphic games; city, regional, regional, republican competitions and passed all over the country.

The Games were held under the patronage of the International Delphic Committee and under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, with the assistance of the Council of Europe. The competitive and festival programs of the Games consisted of 26 folk, classical and modern nominations. Most of them were divided into two or three age groups. The program requirements of performances became more complicated, in particular, in the nomination "piano" in the third round, the contestants played with a symphony orchestra, which made it possible to significantly increase the professional level of the competitors.

For all types of competitions, separate venues were identified from among the best cultural facilities of the city: the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Novosibirsk State Conservatory (Academy) named after. M. I. Glinka and the Novosibirsk Academic Youth Theater "Globus". The competition was attended by 2092 participants aged 10 to 25 years, formed into teams from 75 subjects of the Russian Federation.

The Games were held under the patronage of the International Delphic Committee and under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO. The preparation and holding of the Games was carried out jointly by the National Delphic Council of Russia (NDS of Russia) and the Government of the Samara Region with the support of the Ministry of Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

The Games received greetings from the President of the Russian Federation D. A. Medvedeva, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation V. V. Putin, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation S. M. Mironova, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation B. B. Gryzlova, Minister of Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation V. L. Mutko, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation С. В. Lavrova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation A. A. Avdeeva. The competitive and festival programs of the Games consisted of 26 folk, classical and modern nominations.

The jury formed for each nomination included prominent cultural figures (total number — 79 people). The titles of People's and Honored Artist of Russia, Honored Art Worker, cultural worker, artist, scientist of Russia were 62 people, and 41 people were academicians, professors and associate professors. A comprehensive festive decoration of the city was carried out.

 

IX (2010, Moscow region)

May 2 to May 7, 2010 at Moscow region the IX Youth Delphic Games of Russia “We Remember…” were held, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War[28]. The organization and holding of the Games was carried out jointly by the National Delphic Council of Russia, the Government of the Moscow Region, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation, and t. The Games were held under the patronage of the International Delphic Committee and under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO. Games included 26 nominations.

More than 2,000 young people from 70 constituent entities of the Russian Federation were scheduled to participate in the Games.

 

X (2011, Tver)

 

"Delphian Village" in Tver

X Youth Delphic Games of Russia "Art, Youth, Talent" were held from May 13 to 18, 2011 at Tver. The games were dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the CIS and volunteering. More than 2,000 people took part]who competed in 26 categories. The organization and the Games were carried out jointly by the National Delphic Council of Russia, the Administration of the Tver Region, Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation, Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation The Games were held under the patronage of the International Delphic Committee and under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO.

The games received a greeting from the President of the Russian Federation D. A. Medvedeva. By tradition, the participants of the games were congratulated live by the crew members ISS[33].

For the first time at the games, a special "Delphian Village" was organized, which was located on seven four-deck motor ships, which became boarding houses for the participants for the duration of the games.

In the team event, the winners were representatives Novosibirsk, the second place was taken by the team from Tver, and the third place was taken by the delegation from Samara.

XI (2012, Moscow)

XI Youth Delphic Games of Russia were held from April 29 to May 3, 2012 at Moscow. The Games were held under the patronage of the IBC and under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO. According to the regulation, the main themes of the events of the Games  are “Art against drugs!” and “2012  is the year of Russian history.” Games were held in 23 competitive and 3 festival nominations.

The organization and holding of the Games was carried out by the National Delphic Council of Russia with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, the State Russian House of Folk Art. Cheers to games sent V. V. Putin.

In the regions of the Russian Federation, from January 2012, t. n began to be held. Small Delphic Games, based on the results of which delegations will be formed to participate in the XI Games. Interdepartmental working groups work in each constituent entity of the Russian Federation to conduct the Small Delphic Games, qualifying rounds, apply for participation in the Games, form and send delegations.

1726 young artists took part in the competitions in teams from 77 regions of the Russian Federation[39].

According to the results of the team championship, the delegation from the Novosibirsk region was declared the winner of the XI Delphic Games.

XII (2013, Novosibirsk)

XII Youth Delphic Games of Russia took place in Novosibirsk  from May 16 to May 21, 2013. Within the framework of the Cultural project "Delphic Novosibirsk — 2013", the Youth Delphic Games of Russia and the Eighth Open Youth Delphic Games of the CIS member states were held in parallel for the first time. The Games were held under the patronage of the International Delphic Committee and under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO[.

The Games were attended by 2193 Delphians aged 10 to 25 from 80 subjects of the Russian Federation, the competitions were held in 28 nominations of classical, folk and modern art. The nomination folklore ensembles, included in the program of the Games, was held for the first time.

From among the winners of the Delphic Games of Russia, a team was formed, which represented Russia at the Games of the CIS member states, held in Novosibirsk at the same time.

The organizers of the Cultural project were National Delphic Council of Russia (VAT of Russia), the Government of the Novosibirsk Region, the City Hall of Novosibirsk. The Games were held with the support of the authorized representatives of the President of the Russian Federation in the federal districts, senior officials of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the participating States CIS, the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on social policy, the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on physical culture, sports and youth affairs, the Permanent Commission of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States on culture, information, tourism and sports, the State Russian House of People creativity.

XIII (2014, Volgograd)

Official opening ceremony

May 2 to May 7, 2014 at Volgograd XIII Youth Delphic Games of Russia were held. The Games were included in the Plan of the main events for holding the Year of Culture in Russia.

The Games were attended by 2338 people and about 150 jury members from 81 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Greetings to the organizers, guests and participants of the Games were sent by the President of the Russian Federation V. V. Putin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation D. A. Medvedev, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation V. I. Matvienko, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation C. B. Lavrov, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation B. R. Medinsky, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe A. Brasser, on behalf of the President of the European Commission J. M. Barrosso and Council of Europe.

The competition and festival program included 29 nominations in folk, classical and modern arts. According to the results of the competition — 120 laureates will be nominated by the National Delphic Council of Russia for awards established by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated April 6, 2006 No. 325 “On measures of state support for talented youth ".

The Games also hosted the Ninth International Conference. It was attended by leaders and representatives of the International Delphic Committee, UNESCO, executive authorities of the Russian Federation, National Delphic organizations of a number of countries, the government of the Volgograd region, business structures and non-profit organizations, experts from 21 states.

According to the results of the team championship of the XIII Youth Delphic Games of Russia among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the 1st place was won by the delegation of Moscow, 2nd place — Samara Region, 3rd place — Perm Territory, 4 place —Krasnoyarsk Territory, 5th place —Volgograd Region, 6th place —Novosibirsk Region.

While playing games on Internet TV DELFIK TV (www.delphic.tv) an online broadcast of all the events of the Games was organized, and for the first time at the mass events of the Games, the Internet radio DELPHIK FM (www.delphic.fm) was presented.

XIV (2015, Eagle)

May 1 to May 6, 2015 at Orel the XIV Youth Delphic Games of Russia were held, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and the Year of Literature in the Russian Federation.

More than 1,700 young artists from 71 regions of the Russian Federation, aged 10 to 25, took part in the Russian Games. The competition and festival programs consisted of 27 nominations of classical, folk and contemporary art. From among the winners of the Fourteenth Youth Delphic Games of Russia, a team was formed to represent Russia at the jubilee Tenth Games of the CIS member states, held in Orel at the same time.

The Games received greetings from the President of the Russian Federation V. V. Putin, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation V. I. Matvienko, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation S. E. Naryshkina.

Within the framework of the Games, the Tenth International Conference was held[and educational programs. The conference was attended by representatives from 11 countries, leaders and representatives of the International Delphic Committee, UNESCO, National Delphic organizations of a number of countries. There was also a round table "The Art of Equal Opportunities", dedicated to the preparation and holding of the First Paradelphic Games in Russia, and a meeting "Delphians and Olympians —generation of winners".

According to the results of the team championship of the Fourteenth Youth Delphic Games of Russia among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the 1st place was won by the delegation of the Novosibirsk Region, 2nd place — Moscow, 3rd place — Samara Region, 4 place —Perm Territory, 5th place —Oryol Region, 6th place —Moscow Region. The three leaders of the team championship in the federal districts of the Russian Federation included: the Central Federal District, the Volga Federal District, the Siberian Federal District.

The Games received the patronage of the International Delphic Committee and the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO.

XV (2016, Tyumen)

From April 22 to April 27, 2016, the Fifteenth Youth Delphic Games of Russia were held in the Tyumen region. 1806 people from 68 subjects of Russia participated in 29 nominations in folk, classical and modern arts[61].

According to the results of a preliminary survey conducted by the Center for Monitoring Social Processes, more than 300 thousand residents of the Tyumen region knew about the upcoming Fifteenth Youth Delphic Games of Russia before they opened[62].

The President of the Russian Federation sent greetings to the Games V. V. Putin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation D. A. Medvedev[63][64][65].

Among the foreign guests at the Games were the chairman of IOVAustria H. Holz, the observer of the International Delphic Committee in Austria and Slovakia, the chairman of the international jury of the Delphic Games in the nomination "Pop singing" J. Ivashka, the observer of the International Delphic Committee in Slovakia, the chairman of the Union of Photographers of Slovakia L. Schmida, Chairman of the National Delphic Council of South Africa S. Dlamini.

Within the framework of the Fifteenth Anniversary Youth Delphic Games of Russia, the Eleventh International Conference was held. During the conference, issues of intercultural dialogue and international cooperation, youth interaction in modern culture, prospects for the development of the Delphic Games, sociocultural technologies for the development of territories were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the creation of an annals of the Delphic Games and their popularization at the regional and municipal levels.

Within the framework of the Games, an Internet broadcast was organized from all sites on the Internet television DELFIK.TV[70], at the same time, the Opening and Closing ceremonies could be watched live on the Odnoklassniki social network.

In memory of the Youth Delphic Games held in Tyumen, the Delphic Rowan Alley was planted, and the contestants staged a grandiose flash mob in the city center, within which a group photo of the participants was taken[71].

According to the results of the team championship, 1st place was won by the delegation of the Tyumen region, 2nd place  - Novosibirsk region, 3rd place  - Perm region, 4th place_cc781905-5cde-3194-bbd5 Krasnoyarsk Territory, 5th place — Moscow Region, 6th place — Sverdlovsk Region[72][73].

From April 18 to April 23, 2017, the Sixteenth Youth Delphic Games of Russia took place in the Sverdlovsk Region.[74]

The Games were attended by 2,125 young people aged 10 to 25 as part of delegations from 76 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and all federal districts.

The Games received greetings from the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation D.A. Medvedeva, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District S.I. The competition and festival programs included 30 nominations in classical, folk and modern arts. 

Within the framework of the Games, an international conference was held. The topics were: "Youth and Culture", "Dialogue of Cultures - Eurasian Perspectives", "Culture - a Vector of Development".

As part of the Closing Ceremony, six leaders of the official team championship were announced: the sixth place was won by the delegation of the Perm Territory, the fifth by the Tula Region, the fourth by the Samara Region, the third by the Novosibirsk Region, the second by the Sverdlovsk Region, and the first by the city of Moscow._cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

From April 20 to April 25, 2018, the Seventeenth Youth Delphic Games of Russia were held, this year the Games were held in the Primorsky Territory (Vladivostok). The Thirteenth International Conference took place within the framework of the Games.

From April 19 to April 24, 2019, the Eighteenth Youth Delphic Games of Russia were held in the Rostov Region. In the year of the 20th anniversary of the Delphic Games, the theme of the event was related to the Year of Theater in Russia and the Decade of Childhood in Russia, announced by decrees of the President of the Russian Federation, the Year of Folk Art in the Rostov Region, the celebration of the 270th anniversary of the city of Rostov-on-Don

On the eve of the Games, a study was conducted by VTsIOM , which showed a 1.5-fold increase in the awareness of Russians about the Delphic Games - from 18% in 2016 to 27% in 2019.

The volunteer corps of the Games amounted to more than 500 people. Prior to the event, all of them were selected, and as a result, specialized training took place in all areas.

This year the competition and festival program of the Delphic Games has undergone a number of changes. In addition to the main nominations "Piano", "Violin", "Theatre", "Art Reading", "Fine Arts", "Balalaika", "Domra", "Bayan/Accordion", "Classical Guitar", "Saxophone", "Flute ”, “Electronic keyboard instrument”, “Academic singing”, “Solo folk singing”, “Ensemble folk singing”, “Variety singing”, “Classical dance”, “Folk dance”, “Modern choreography”, “Television journalism”, “ Photography”, “Culinary art”, “Hairdressing art”, “Fashion design”, “Art of education”, “Art crafts”, “Folk instruments”, this year the nomination “Visualization and presentation of scientific research”, organized in 2018 in partnership with VTsIOM was expanded, and for the first time in partnership with Roskomnadzor, the nomination "Protection of personal data" was held. The purpose of the nomination is to increase digital literacy among the general population, career guidance, and identify talented young specialists in the information sphere.

During the Games in the Rostov region, 64 sets of awards were played. The winners and prize-winners of the Eighteenth Youth Delphic Games of Russia Russia will be awarded awards in accordance with the established procedure to support talented youth at the expense of the grant of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society, provided by the Presidential Grants Fund .
